Great stories start with a chat, not a prompt. Welcome to a human-generated event
The importance of authentic and organic human interactions lies in their ability to spark great stories. These stories are born from real, spontaneous conversations, untouched by the mediation of machines or algorithms. Once again, attendinghashtag#SLUSH here in Helsinki reaffirms my belief that, no matter how much virtual reality and artificial intelligence advance, enabling us to connect remotely and attend more events, nothing compares to the richness of face-to-face interactions. Being physically present, sharing the same space, remains irreplaceable for building genuine relationships and seizing the unique opportunities that arise in these environments.
For the past seven years, I’ve been working on creating virtual environments where people can connect without the need to travel. We’ve come a long way, achieving increasingly immersive and accessible experiences. Yet, after several days here, meeting so many people and forming valuable connections in such a short time, I have to admit—there’s still nothing quite like the in-person experience.
Once again, SLUSH has been an extraordinary event. Incredible connections and encounters that will undoubtedly lead to exciting new developments for the studio.
